Still in Hood River, after touring some art galleries we made the walk to Full Sail Brewing Co. where she has Mad Hatter Black Lager (right), and my glass is filled with Wassail Winter Ale. After a 16 year long hiatus from beer drinking, Wassail was one of the first that I drank back in 2012. I have been searching for this beer for a few years, and today I am glad to have found it, at the source.

Yesterday, we drove the Hood River Fruit Loop, making several stops for fruit. Our last stop was at Grateful Vineyard, which I had hoped would be a Grateful Dead theme, but alas, it was not. She enjoyed a glass of rose, while I had the flight, under the impressive Mt. Hood, the highest peak in Oregon.

I was going to ask you if Full Sail was on your list. I also love Wassail; it's my favorite winter seasonal ever. I have a clone recipe but I havent been brave enough to try brewing it. Also in regards to the Fruit Loop, my grandmother used to pick apples outside of Hood River every summer :)

Unbelievable productivity in the Fruit Loop region, with jaw dropping views!
If you figure out how to brew Wassail, let me know. Great beer, whether in season or out.
