At Hofbrau tonight
We closed down Hofbrau Newport. Me and the football staff
I wish we remembered to take pictures... but last week we visited Snake Lake Brewing in Sylvan Lake Alberta and Cold Lake Brewing in Cold Lake Alberta.
Snake Lake brewing had an award winning Pilsner, but all their beers we're solid. Yes, we tried them ALL haha.
We had a selection at Cold Lake brewing, but we went there for dinner two of the days we were in Cold Land and food was too good (so many tacos...) so we ended up way too full to drink much beer. The standouts though were the Fuzzy Peach sour, Hefeweizen, and a copper lager.

Cold Lake looks like it is a bit north east of Edmonton, but Snake Lake, good lord, that be NORTH!!!
If you ever get west of Edmonton there is a great little brewery called Folding Mountain, it is roughly half way between Hinton and Jasper.

I was thinking of Bierstadt, but that and Bierstadt both had the side pulls
They won me over when I just wanted 1/2 a beer at the end. The beertender told me their half pour is a full glass with 1/2 foam. I knew I was in love with the place at that point

When I was there, I stayed at The Source in RiNo. I ended up loving the hotel because of the location and because of the BBQ place, the sushi place, the rooftop bar in the hotel, and the staff. It about broke my heart to find out they were going to transform the rooftop bar over the summer, and the staff up there were going to be out of work for a bit because I loved the entire bar staff.

Did they just change the label for Andy Gator? Helles Dopplebock. I think @Josh Hughes would like this one, but a couple is enough at 8%. Might need a few Miller Lites after this to unwind my watch.
