Recipe Builder down? Fermentable not saving

All my recipes are built by scratch so I am not sure what you mean. I use Percentages like 80% 2row, 10% Crystal, 10% oats etc. So I know if I want a 3.5 gal batch, or 5 gal etc I Can just plug in the grain I want, at what percentage I Want, and set the goal to ABV or OG, and it will calculate the grain weights I need to meet that goal. Right now I am having to use a spreadsheet and play with grain amounts and percentages until I hit the ABV or OG that I want manually. Plus I am a paying member, and this feature is still on the site but hasn't worked for years. Other Brewing software has the same feature and it does work on their softwares.

I never tried to use that feature before. I didnt know it even existed, i have always done it manually. What does your spreadsheet tell you??? I would be happy to help you out with recipe building if you want help it. i make a lot of recipes.

Well it adds a LOT more time to my recipe builds, which kind of voids the entire purpose of being a brewersfriend member. I have been considering switching to brewfather. Not only does the feature work on their app, but they have a much easier water calculator to use than brewers friend that just calculates water additions from your recipe. I would never run a business with a broken element or app and years later still not have a fix for paying customers. I now have to guess how much total grain I will need for a recipe, then use excel to plug in percentages for each type of grain, adjusting it and going back and forth between excel and brewers friend to get the right percentage of each grain and hit the ABV / OG that I am aiming for. When this function worked on the app it did that math for you and took seconds. I could just say here is what I want for a final ABV estimate, and I Want 80% pils, 10% Crystal 40, 5% oats, 5% munich and it would just calculate how much of each grain I needed to hit the target.
