Unfortunately I don't remember him. But reading up on him just now. He was (and still is) a very inspiring person!

There has been a "Terry Fox Run" in Canada since 1980 to raise money for cancer research. My former father in law has been the run organizer in my hometown since day one. My daughter is restarting the run this year in Hinton Alberta, the organizers there stopped doing it when Covid hit. She has been at every run since she was a wee baby, and is herself a cancer survivor having dealt with a melanoma a few years ago.
 
In 1980 he ran past my house, but I missed it, I believe that it was just pre dawn when he ran by.

If you weren't aware, he was an amputee, he ran on a prosthetic leg. He basically ran a marathon every day totalling 3,339 miles. I met his parents many years ago at a event.
