A typical lake in Northern Ontario (there are thousands like this)
The rock formations were shaped by glacial movements.
I took these pictures several years ago, this is actually a small island on Gurd lake, referred to in the park as picnic Island.
Trees and other vegetation quite literally growing out of cracks in the rocks!

The above pictures were taken in Grundy Lake Provincial Park, this is about an hour north of Parry Sound.
Of course, Parry Sound is the home of the greatest hockey player ever, Bobby (Robert Gordon) Orr.
Second Map just lends a little more perspective, latitude wise it isn't much further north than the famed frozen tundra of Green Bay Wisconsin!
Not to mention a bit south of our very own @FrostyBeach
