You people are making me itchy
Opening day for trout in CT is tomorrow
I get my fishing and hunting license free because of my age
In NY I need to pay, it's not much
I won't fish at my camp in the Northern Adirondacks until ice out trout and salmon
Probably another month for that
Lakes and ponds usually open by Mothers day
Not sure I'll get a CO license this year

They're great rods, I like the company a lot. But I needed that particular length and weight in a 2 piece so it fit in the back of my car instead of rubbing against the back of my head while I drive lol
I guess a helmet while driving isn’t a thing.

Alright bass anglers of the group, what are your top tips? I've got a variety of soft plastics, offset hooks/bullet weights, trailers, crank baits, finesse hooks/jig heads and grubs, rooster tails, spoons. Tell me your favorite combo. I'm mostly fishing big ponds/small lakes with limited vegetation and shade. Not sure about water depth.

around here its just soft plastic worms, for other fish there's a luer called a shad wrap #5 that works best for me

Around here I find Coborns has the best Salmon. I am not sure for bass, maybe Hy-Vee...

I like my fishing simple:
Hook dead shrimp on a Gulf Rig with some weight, toss it out in the ocean, sit in chair, place rod in rod holder, open beer, wait for the rod to bend:)

I have many local lakes around and some were flooded rivers, perfect for big catfish, there are many ways to catch them but i worked on a rig that used a swinning noodle as a bobber, catch a bucket full of bluegile from the dock, put out as many as you can, the fish will swim around and most of the time i cought 5 or 6 a day 20 pounders

I used to do mostly Bass fishing with rubber worms which were very effective
not that I don't fish bass
I've switched to a fly rod
a whole different game to catch bass on a fly rod
for those anything that makes a splash

Working on a sad song, from the "Temple of the Dog" album. He's in love, and tries real hard, but it's never enough. Being a gentleman though, he won't say anything bad about her because he still loves her.
