Mash Efficiency

Yikes! If it has been as hot and muggy as it has here, that would suck.
I was in the yard later than I wanted to be on Saturday. After 9AM the sun and the humidity almost kicked my ass.
the "feels like" temp is around 98f and it is still right now...not very fun.

just got my grain and carried it up 2 flights of stairs outside...had 2 other guys help me. 42 bags @ 55lbs each...sweaty. now i have to load them into the grain room and finish prepping my brew tomorrow...then i am going home.
Yikes indeed. North FL is HUMID here this time of year. I spent several weeks out on Wassaw Island during the summer so I feel your pain

It's been up to 90F/90H for 2 weeks, went from too much rain to instant heat

last week was in the mid 90s with >80% humidity it was absolutely brutal. this week its gonna be raining a little which should help. but today it will be like 96 in town and around 92 on the island. humidity in town is even worse then out here.

Or one flight of 22 steps…

You need one of those electric shingle ladders used by small-time roofers. One person loading, the other at the top unloading.

They can be had used for hundreds of dollars. Plus you need a ladder.

I made one of those one time for hauling shingles. Had wooden wheels to ride on the ladder and a cable winch motor ,I think it was from a 4 wheeler.

thats brilliant, but i am not sure that they can reach high enough. we are more then 2 full "flights" up. i will look into it.
They typically reach 28 feet. A new one is a couple grand. You can also rent these (but transport it) for pretty cheap.
They don't use a "ladder" since ladders that long are usually extension ladders. Instead they use a ladder-shaped track which comes in pieces (like 8 feet long each). Looks and acts like a ladder, except no 'bump' at the middle. Or use half of a 40' extension ladder, but $$$.
