Honestly, I think it fits more into the APA than IPA category. The hops are there, good aroma, well balanced but not BIG. It's not bad or average by any stretch, I do like it for the target but I would not enter it into some competition to get shot down by because it doesn't check all the boxes the right way for that person.

Honestly, I wouldn't try to shoehorn Lutra into a recipe I'd otherwise brew with a lager yeast based on how it's turned out for me before and like you said it does work great for quick turnarounds and minimal temp control. Keep it in its lane and Lutra is awesome. It does work about as well as Voss, but does not impart the grapefruit aroma Voss does.
