I'm finding that if I set the target to fermenter the kettle dead space is considered a loss from the OG point of view.
I've got 200 mL of dead space set up and when comparing the OG calculation in the recipe builder to dilution and boil off calculator I can see that the recipe builder includes that 200 mL as losses for OG. It's part of the calculations for fermenter volume and efficiency but I don't see why it's part of OG calculations.
Examples from a couple of recipes:

(14.1 L @ 1.066 boil gravity) - (3.8 L boil off) - (0.2 L hop absorbtion) = 1.091 OG via the dilution calculator. But the recipe calculator has 1.094. Add the 0.2 L kettle deadspace into the dilution calculator and it gives 1.094 OG.

(15 L @ 1.05 boil gravity) - (2.5 L boil off) - (0.3 L hop absorbtion) = 1.061 OG via the dilution calculator. But the recipe calculator has 1.063. Add the 0.2 L kettle deadspace into the dilution calculator and it gives 1.063 OG.
Hope that makes sense.
