Hello Everyone,
A good friend has been an intermittent extract brewer for the past year. He recruited me to help on brewing days shortly after he started. He hoped my chemistry profession would help with consistency in his technique. Well, bottom line is I got hooked. I started all grain brewing in December and have made five clone batches from recipes mostly found here. My equipment is basic, 8 gallon kettle (on the stovetop), 5 gallon mash tun and 5 gallon hot liquor tank (made from Rubbermaid coolers). I just brewed my first original Double IPA last week. The resources here have been fantastic so far and I hope to contribute as I gain more experience.
Cheers! Jim
