Mine blew foam on me Friday just gone but I've got a reasonably malty lager in the fermentor ATM and my gladfield lager is conditioning in the keg ATM so they will just have to suffice.

I've been missing a hoppy pale ale hence my ale brew today to break my lager brewing streak.

So is that your can of malt specialty grain and hops and yeast all together in a kit jeffpn?

Yup. All in one box. Everything you mentioned, plus bottle caps and priming sugar. Those are starting to accumulate!
