espresso machine

Not to get an International Incident started, but whenever I have traveled to the US, the coffee has been something to suffer through until getting back home. There is truth to the ash tray flavor statement. Even Starbucks is very different up here, always found it disappointing down there.
I still love all of my American friends though :)
And we’d love you too if you actually exist…

Most Americans prefer coffee soup. Not as strong as coffee. And lots and lots of sugar and milk or cream.

I prefer it strong enough to melt a stainless spoon, no additives.

We actually bring a coffee maker and ground coffee on vacation. Amazing that I can put the coffee maker in my carry on. We like the stuff called fog chaser that we’ve been drinking for a long time and we also bring some Hawaiian coffee just because it tastes really freaking good.

I use this now only because my roasted beans went too high, this is the cheapest I can find

I mix a Brazilian type with Zambian coffee beans. Both arabica
Works for me :)

there used to be some Tim Horton coffee shops in CT but not anymore
DD on every corner and DD kiosk in every gas station
to DDs credit it is consistent
just brewed to weak
Starbucks are around but not as popular
they burn all their beans IMO but at least they have variety
luckily a lot of independent coffee shops are starting to spring up
definitely more and more craft and garage roasters around which helps keep prices reasonable
I'm spending about $1 to $1.25 per oz for bean so about .60 a cup
I'll only buy coffee that list the roast date on the bag
I wouldn't pay a lot for old oxidized hops coffee is no different

There are something like 25+ Tim Hortons stores in Cambridge, they are on every corner. Not a fan myself.

I do not care for TH coffee at all, it's just unpleasant.
