Double Lager... Second Attempt!

so i upped the Dolcita and overall ibu and ABV on the kolsch to 30ibu from 27 and the ABV from 5 to 5.4 to distinguish it from my golden lager and the session ipa abv wise.

thinking i am gonna brew this tomorrow.

fucking Ohio lol. So in the 70s Tybee and Hilton head did a big add campaign in Ohio and the surrounding midwestern states. So a lot of people from ohio come own here because their parents and grandparents came down.

in the summer honestly its almost 50/50 Ohio/everywhere else. it is strange lol.

I like Ohio, been to a couple of Brownies games, and went to see The Jays play the Indians in 93 fresh off their World Series win. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is great too.

lol i have no real issue with Ohio, it just seems like ALL of our tourists are from ohio and it is a bit of a running joke. During certain times of year you can ask just assume that if they are not locals they are ohio-ins?

Nope i am in savannah just south of HHI in Ga. fun fact, you can see HHI from the beach, takes about 30-40 mins by boat but close to 2 hours by car to get there. since you have to drive all the way inland and then drive all the way back out.

I am happy to report that the double lager is getting cooled today and is on dryhop. i will crash it tomorrow and carb/pack it on friday.

it hit 8.31% 17.9>3.5p which is 80% attenuation!

It is tasting really really good. The DH helped cut down the booziness by alot!

Magnum used late can have a grassy flavor, one reason it is primarily a bittering hop. 15 minutes is late in my book, BUT I have never used it that way so take this as speculation and hearsay.

I don't know...I've used it late and not experienced anything off about it. That being said, I haven't used it as single hop so it might not work in isolation.

I think i am gonna call it Golden Hour.
