2026 4th quarter

So making an “executive” decision. 2 names left in the bucket to draw. @Craigerrr @Megary lets see what you got!

I will post a thread later in the year and we will start over in 2027
I would be pleased to defer to Megary, and to be the 2027Q1 brewery. Everyone should have their moment in the sun

Oh for heaven’s sake. There are 2 names left, pick one! I want to see who the community loser is! :D :D

Whoever is left will get 3 months to figure out the best way to lead off the new year as just compensation.

Flip a coin! :)

Do we have a verdict for Q42026

Got her off the couch to draw :)

Yaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!! We have a loser!!!!!

And it’s me! I’d like to thank Ben and Josh for never picking my name, or, more likely, picking my name and throwing it back in for everyone’s sake… :D

I am torn between putting forth my Cragunitas (much like the Lagunitas), which doesn't have a crazy amount of Hops, or my more seasonal Christmas Ale.
Let me think on that, I will let you know shortly.

I hate to disappoint those expecting a HOP MONSTER of a beer, but I am going to go with my Christmas Ale.
After having a Great Lakes (Ohio not Toronto) Christmas Ale in Cleveland several years ago I set out to create something as close to it as I could.
It was a smash hit with friends and family!
The season is approaching, so the timing just makes sense.
Some are saying "dang that's disappointing", but I am sure some are saying "phewf, there's a break"

Text and representative picture if you prefer:

Break up 2-3 cinnamon sticks, grate fresh ginger root, place in a hop bag and toss in the boil when adding whirlfloc.
I am actually thinking that I will add cinnamon and ginger for a 20 minute whirlpool at 80C / 176F this time.
Not sure if that will make any difference.

I've been thinking of brewing a porter or similar this fall and this scratches that itch. I'm definitely looking forward to brewing one @Craigerrr!

Curious…Do you usually keg or bottle this? Just thinking that I have some bomber bottles that have been sitting unused for too long.
