(DONE) Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator

Re: (NEXT RELEASE) Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator Great! Thanks for fixing it. Also, I like the idea of making liquid yeast the default, as that's probably the most used option (with the calculator anyway). ;)

(DONE) Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator

Re: Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator Just noticed another thing in the same scope. The "Yeast Type" field also behaves in a similar way. If you press "Back" on Chrome (at least), it still shows my previously selected "Liquid Yeast", but below it, it shows the options for dry yeast instead.

(DONE) Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator

Re: Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator This is really a small bug and maybe not even worth splatting it. Even though things get reverted, it still works. ;) I just noticed it because I went to read the yeast starter article and then moved back.

(DONE) Small bug in Yeast Pitching Calculator

I found a small bug in the yeast pitching calculator. If you mark the "Starter - Step 2" or "Starter Step 3" then go to another page and hit BACK on your browser, the checkbox gets out of sync, ie. it may be marked but the step info is not displayed or vice-versa. You can see this in the...

(DONE) Yeast pitching calculator on Recipe View

I just noticed that the yeast pitching rate calculator is linked only when editing the recipe and not in the static recipe view. Would it be possible to add the same link that grabs the values from the recipe to the calculator without having to edit the recipe? The idea is that I need to...

    Recipe images (labels)

Believe me, mine are usually off (I'm a n00b). I also think that if you're brewing somebody else's recipe, things could get more off too, due to differences in the brewing process and equipment. Yeah, an option to import values from the brew session wuold be nice. A manual override...

(DONE) Use data from brew session for labels

Okay, so my idea was that it may make more sense to have the data from the brew session (ABV, OG, FG...) instead of using the projected data from the recipe itself. I'm still a beginner, so my OG anf FG seldom match the recipe projections. I also think that if you're brewing somebody else's...

    Recipe images (labels)

This is really cool! But just one thing came to my mind... Wouldn't it make more sense to use the values from the brew sessions instead of from the recipe?

(DONE) Mash water requirement on the recipe builder

    That's great, thanks! :)

    Saved custom fermentables?

Hi Larry and Kaiser, You are both correct in terms of what I meant. :) The Custom Fermentable in the Inventory would really work for my case (thanks for pointing it out!), though it sounds a bit strange if I need to add the fermentable to my inventory before I really have it in my inventory...

    Saved custom fermentables?

I use some malts that are not in the fermentables drop down list. I will use many of them over and over again, so each time I need to enter the same values for that type of grain, to get more accurate calculations. Somewhat how we can do with the water profiles, the users can contribute items...

add search functions to recipe builder

Good idea! It could be like how it's done with hops. But of course, then it would make more sense to start with the type of malt and move the country of origin to the end. Like "Pilsener - Germany" or so.

(DONE) Brew session count on recipes

    Excellent! Thanks, Larry! :)

    (DONE) Auto Inventory quantity removal?

I meant to adjust the snapshot recipe without adjusting the original one. I think the original recipe should not be changed each time the AA of your hops change. What you should do is to adjust the hops you *use* when brewing the recipe, according to the actual AA of your hops. Not sure this...

    (DONE) Auto Inventory quantity removal?

Ah, makes sense. The AA is different in the recipe from what I bought (7% vs 7.3%). Maybe I should have made a snapshot of the recipe and updated the AA in it. But then it would be too late, because the deduction would have already occurred, right? In practice, the AA from hops you buy will...

    (DONE) Auto Inventory quantity removal?

I just used the inventory deduction on my recipe (I think this feature is great!), but for some reason it deducted everything but the hops. I have 250g of Cascade in my inventory and my recipe asks for 130g, but it didn't get deducted.

(DONE) Recipe Share with custom URL

Re: Recipe Share with custom URL Good point, I will do it from now on. But still, they will bloat the results. Maybe you could somehow add a field we could mark "Experimental" and make it possible to filter the results out? Or maybe filter on number of completed brew sessions? ;)

(DONE) Recipe Share with custom URL

Re: Recipe Share with custom URL This will be a cool feature indeed! I'm a newbie so I always ask for comments on my recipes. What I've been doing is that I share the recipe and write in the notes that it is WIP. But it will still show up and bloat the recipe search results...
