I do BIAB and use a Big Mouth Bubbler fermenter. High Krausen for me is about 2/3 days in. Low Krausen is probably 5/6 days in. I use 2 packets of liquid yeast. It attenuates pretty fast.
I have been using a small amount of carafoam for head retention, body in my DIPAs.I like the results. Would switching to Carapils be any advantage other than being a little lighter %L ?
Does anybody calculate the DP when making a recipe? What is the minimum DP to get good conversion? I do BIAB and am starting to look at brewing with more insight. I've always just thrown a recipe together, haven't made a bad beer yet. Knock on wood!
I'm going to do a homebrew Friday and have some Cashmere hops to use. Does anybody have any insight what other hops they go with? When to use? Boil, Flameout, Whirpool, Dry hop?
