Yeast brands are missing when adding new inventory

I was able to add new items and I verified a few hop and grain brands, as well. Everything looks good, thanks! Ross GCB

Yeast brands are missing when adding new inventory

Investigating a bit more, this seems to be the case with Hops and Grains. For example, Dingeman's is missing from the brands in grains. When I edit something i already have in inventory from Dingeman's it says "83". Hope this helps. Ross GCB

Yeast brands are missing when adding new inventory

This was working ok just the other day, but I'm adding some Wyeast and White Labs yeast to my inventory today and those are not showing up in the dropdown. I tried this on Edge and Chrome with the same results. When I edit an inventory item that already exists (for example, a White Labs 500)...

    Phosphoric addition stuck at 10%

Thanks, it's not a show stopper for me. I just need to remember to change any auto-calculated acid amounts if I happen to notice.

    Phosphoric addition stuck at 10%

Is there an update on this? I'm having the same issue.

Boil steps missing from Brew Session view

Additional information, it's the timer steps that disappear, boil and mash. I can reproduce it by going back and forth between Brewing and Primary Fermentation. And the steps only show during Brewing and Planning, no other status. Hope this helps! Ross GCB

Boil steps missing from Brew Session view

During today's brew, I noticed when I move the session out of "Brewing" status, the steps disappear (I also noted some Mash steps also disappeared) When I go back to "Brewing" they return, so it seems to be just a display issue. I would expect that you should always be able to refer back to...

Boil steps missing from Brew Session view

I was referring back to some older (last year) sessions on boil additions and I've found that all of the boil steps after "Fire the kettle..." are missing from the view (attached). I went back to the brew I just did this past weekend, and they are also missing. However, when I Print Brew...

Brew Steps - Sparge salts & pH

Hello BF! I typically batch sparge and the last 30 or 40 brews I've ensured that my sparge water pH is under 6. Since doing that, I've rearranged my mashing and sparging salt additions so some goes in the mash to help with Mash pH and the remainder, to get to the water profile I want, goes to...

Inconsistent mash water totals for specific mash types

Agreed. Typically, I would add any step mash infusion amount to my strike for salt addition reasons. I'll use my strike water amount as needed and any leftover gets boiled for the infusion amount at whatever interval. It's not a huge issue for me as I essentially stick to one step mash...

Inconsistent mash water totals for specific mash types

Hey BF! I noticed the other day when rebuilding a recipe, which happens to use a step mash, that the display of Total Water at the bottom of the Mash Guidelines section on the Recipe Edit page is inconsistent. I attached two screenshots. One is the expected use, where I have a Strike entry...

When do you consider fermentation to be complete

I've done many, many Belgian/Trappist/Biere de Garde batches (90% of them) that almost always exceed the expected yeast attenuation by quite a bit. Only in the last couple of years has this really been a trend for me and I attribute it to the strain of yeast and better efficiency (up to 75-78%...

    Funky water calculator link issue

I mentioned, in a previous thread, how once in a while I would go into a linked Water Calculation from a recipe and it would reset my Strike and Total water amounts to 5.5 (which happens to be the batch size) No matter what I did, it would always revert back to this wrong calculation, even...

Water requirements in recipe don't match linked mash chemistry

This time around, I didn't change anything on the recipe. It had been about 3-4 weeks. I went into the recipe edit mode and went right to the water chemistry so I could update my source water (new water test!) and I noticed that the total and strike water amounts were changed. Ross GCB

Water requirements in recipe don't match linked mash chemistry

Hi guys, I poked around to see if this was already something that was reported. This happens occasionally, mostly I've noticed if I link a mash/water chemistry entry to a recipe, then change the recipe it might show differing amounts. Every so often (i can't seem to reliably duplicate it) the...

    First recipe - feedback please

In agreement with switching out the Galaxy at 60 min for something like Magnum or Warrior, but I've made a Belgian Saison (with yeast harvested from Oxbow Farmhouse Pale!) with all Galaxy additions and it came out fantastic, though less balanced than I wanted it. Let us know how it comes out...
