    Commercial level Cleaning Chemicals

Thank you for your input. It's a little difficult to sift the meaning of some of your sentence fragments, but I catch your drift. I don't believe I or any of the responders were suggesting anything other than the utmost of caution. As I said, I am fully capable of reading the Safety Data...

    Commercial level Cleaning Chemicals

Thanks so much! We are a small restaurant/brew pub near Point Pelee National Park in Leamington, Ontario. I believe we lay claim to being the most southerly brewery in Canada. I've got a call into our supplier, to guide me through our first run through. I will reach out if I have further...

    Commercial level Cleaning Chemicals

This is very well presented. Thank you. By "spin" do you mean running CIP ball?

    Commercial level Cleaning Chemicals

Thanks for the responses so far. The chemicals came with the ball pump dispensers - I tried one out with a bucket of water, and it seems to splash quite a bit. That prompted me to retreat into "research mode". We're a seasonal restaurant, and currently in hiatus, so I have time to figure out...

    Commercial level Cleaning Chemicals

For years I have been using the basic combination of PBW and StarSan (or Steri San) for cleaning and sanitizing in our small restaurant/nano brewery. On the advice of a somewhat larger commercial brewer, our owners have brought in a suite of chemicals to make our process more thorough. These...

    Cannular pro shelf life

Thanks for the suggestions. I will reach out to Kegland to see their recommendations. Cheers, Tom

    Cannular pro shelf life

Does anyone have any experience with the shelf life of beer packaged with the Cannular Pro system? I have been cautioned (by a representative of a competing brand) not to expect more than a few weeks before the beer is no longer drinkable. I brew for a (very) small seasonal taproom in southern...

Inventory prices not appearing in recipe editor

Thank you for your reply. I seem to have gotten things going, but I still need to add the price to items when I add them to a recipe. I don't know what I've done wrong, but as it's not a feature I really rely on, I only do it for recipes I'm doing at work.

Inventory prices not appearing in recipe editor

The title says it all. I'm now involved in small-scale commercial brewing, and need to see the unit prices of my ingredients. I've created an inventory, but the costs do not appear in my recipes. I assume there's something I am not doing right, but I can't see it yet. Thanks Tom

iOS Recipes load and then disappear

I wish I had read this earlier! I made the mistake of removing the app and trying to reinstall it. (See this thread: https://www.brewersfriend.com/forum/threads/where-is-the-app.16087/) I can't find it in the store anymore, but it is still in my purchased list. I now have to open the app from my...

    Spike Nano Equipment Profile

I just walked in the door, so I haven’t had time to examine this, but here’s my reply from Stephanie at Spike. It is the Beersmith profile, which is at the very least, a good starting point to develop a Nano profile.

    Spike Nano Equipment Profile

Agreed. I will reach out to them today.

    Spike Nano Equipment Profile

We are in the process of setting up a 1bbl Spike Nano brewhouse, and I'm wondering if anyone has calculated a Brewer's Friend equipment profile for this system yet. (I've looked, but it seems to be eluding me.) There's always fine-tuning involved for any individual setup, but it would save some...

    Spike Nano floor plan

Thank you all for your input. Our target brewhouse is 1-2bbl, and though we're not wholly tied to a particular system at this time, this particular question is about the Spike Nano setup, What we are trying to determine is the space requirements besides the brewing vessels and fermenters. We...

    Spike Nano floor plan

Not 100%. It IS a restaurant, so they are quite well equipped for gas. After a few months of waiting for our pair of Brewzillas to boil, I just want something that won't make time our enemy.
