Actually I usually put gelatine into fermenters at 10 C, then cold crash to 2 C for 2 days then add more to keg before transferring from fermenter into keg.
So not a great idea to put into keg as well ? Maybe too cold which causes coagulation ? Is something like Biofine or Polyclar not...
Maybe someone on the forum has the answer ?
When I keg my beer, I cold crash my fermenters to +- 2 C. Next step is to clean and sanitise my kegs then add prepared gelatine finings which have been mixed and heated to 65 C. Then I gravity feed the beer into the keg.
I then carbonate the kegs at...
Sorry, I probably was not being clear. By Daisy Chaining I meant running separate gas lines into each keg from a single pressure source. No liquid lines involves.
Oh, and I forgot to ask.
Would a 50 L keg carbonate as fast as a 20 l keg. Or would a 50 L keg take 2,5 times a long ?
Do different shapes of kegs carbonate at different rates. Say a 30 L torpedo vs a 50 L sanke keg ?
Hoping someone here can give me a definitive answer.
If I daisy chain 6 x 20 L kegs together, set the CO2 carbonation pressure at 15psi over 10 days, will all the kegs be equally as carbonated as if I had attached just one keg to the CO2 bottle at 15 psi over 10 days.
And, would the length of...
Right now I've tried everything.
As soon as I save and leave the page the recipe does it's own thing and when I open it again it's garbilled. I've got a printed out version to prove it. This is seriously wasting my time. In Safari it will not scale at all so I've had to specially now move to...
Tried to scale a 200 L recipe down to 120 L with the scaling calculator. Numbers came out waaaaay off.
Using FireFox and/or Safari on an iMAC. Any similar problems ?
Seems to be fixed. Im not against experimentation/change/innovation/pushing the boundaries, as long as if there is hitch it is resolved with alacrity - which Brewers Friend has done. I'm happy. Good job.
