This is the first time making a Biere de Garde
Usually I tweek a recipe
But I'm staying pat on this
Tasting a bit of blackberry maybe from the T58
Did an unsealed open fermentation for a few days at cellar temp low 60s then sealed and controlled to finish
Left it for about 3 weeks

How so?
From my reading a Biere de Garde can be blonde, amber or brown
I've gone for the brown version

Yeah it can be, by reading learned that. Never heard this beer before
I meant your recipe say 14. something but liquid in glass is pretty dark, or did i missed something

Well it's true it is darker than my target SRM
So either the calculator is off or maybe the photo needs to be backlit

picture is fuzzy because my hand is shaking

It actually misses the OG and ABV stats a hair but that's by design
Artistic license

Truth be told I ended high anyway
.061 and 6+ ABV
After checking notes

Well now it looks different, still looks good :)

It looks good. By all indications it tastes good and smells good and most importantly; it's beer.
Success = "Yes"

I appreciate that you can read a recipe and taste the beer in your minds eye
I try and do the same
I never attuned to the phrase "well it's beer"
That's a low bar LOL
