Holschuh Haus Lager. Can’t really call it a Helles. It’s darker from the mash and touch of caramunich, and hop aroma and flavor is more than my usual Helles. May make my normal hence the name after my Grandmas German family name.

Of the beer? Honestly tastes oxidized even though it was canned in August. The hazelnut is at the forefront, but obviously a flavoring. A pretty weak tasting brown ale with some syrup added. Their quality had been declining for a while, so the closure is not too surprising

My Dunkel and my Bitter. The bitter was quite clear if you remember from the other day. I messed with the fermenter I was was serving from. Tastes the same though

How was it? I heard they changed the recipe.

I don't taste much difference, actually. Still very malt forward, low bitterness. Pretty sure they changed the yeast though. Got a completely different nose to it.

Nope a dark lager that didn't get very dark

Well, you know why I asked. Love some brown. While it may not be as dark as @Sunfire96 wanted it, it aint a blonde. I rather like the color. What’s the fix @Sunfire96 ? I can’t imagine you letting a recipe beat you.

I thought carafa and chocolate malt would get darker and roastier than it actually did. Better than overshooting on the first try I guess. 2nd version got some roasted barley added. It's in the fermenter now, probably ready to stick out on the balcony for lagering next week
