At Narragansett Brewery in Providence, so far everything I’ve tried has been strictly top notch. The Helles Light is very refreshing and the Banquet tastes suspiciously like a slightly stronger version of my Cream Ale.

Very jealous. 'Gansett lager is one of the tastiest and most refreshing beers to have in the summer. I was just in Massachusetts and had a few of them. I've never been to the brewery, but it is on my list. Glad to hear the other beers are well done too. Cheers!

Thomas Hooker Brewery in Hartford Connecticut today(just finished touring the Samuel Clemons house), another flight of very solid beers in New England.

The Tom lager and the #nofilter ipa are particularly good

My nephew was in Japan and remembered his drunken uncle back home. Brought me Okinawa’s finest yellow fizzy. A solid beer and certainly more flavorful than American macros, but in the end that really isn’t saying much. Still, not a bad baseball beer on a hot, muggy afternoon.

Wish I could remember if i drank this as a dumb 18 year old in Okinawa but probably did amongst other things

Delicious pint of kona longboard lager followed by a can of the king of beers haha (yeah not so much) . This is followed by water with liquid IV.
If you consider what was available when that name was first used, it really was the king of beers. And for a low abv lager, it’s not awful at the right temperature. Almost.

Agreed, historically they were the king

“The King of Beers” was actually quite a decent beer in its day, however “The Beer of Kings” was and is a timeless classic.

If you know you know.
