What are you doing with homebrew today?

I've washed/cleaned my 2 oxebar kegs that had saison in it.
I may still give them a chlorine rinse: to be sure to be sure
Now I need to sort out the connectors as some don't hold pressure
And I need to make a plan to collect my new 2nd hand fridge so my old one can be used as a fermenter.

Saison yeast is just yeast not a bacteria like Bret so your standard cleaning should be fine

I kegged tonight. The beer was a little stronger than anticipated LOL. For those of you that want to experiment with a Saison, if you finish them hot, they will ferment down. This Belgian finished at 1.010. The French ones will go VERY low.
I think it will be good, but I need to sit on it for a little bit.
Confirmed! I got 1.004 on my last run of the French Saison yeast.

Brewing an Amarillo/Cascade hop burst IPA:

Planning tomorrow’s brew day. Probably a 10 Plato Lager since i want something low ABV for the summer to hold me over till the Festbier and Märzens I’ll be brewing for fall.

Mixing Pilsner and Maris otter. I have more Maris otter than I thought and now as much Pilsner. I’ll hop it 18-20 ibu.

I am contemplating moving the content of my fridge into another one and free up a fridge as fermentation fridge...
Only contemplating though... Seems like too much work at the moment

Never mind pushing off to midweek

Afraid I cannot put off bottling my English Barley Wine even though I am definitely not in the mood. Got some mould off okay and doesn't appear to be anything else wrong. Thankfully most of it was on the muslin hop bag but it had started 72-48 hours ago whilst hydrometer readings were showing very slow consistent movement. Today primary fermentation has finally finished on day 14 (OG: 1.064 - FG: 1.011). Previous batch of BW finished at 1.028. Well I will go tweaking won't I lol. Anyway it tastes nice with a silky smooth mouthfeel and the unpleasant aroma has reduced. I just need to get my specifications noted down and limber up. Got some Bert Jansch playing too which is helping. Hmmm...

Unclogged my brewzilla 3.1.1. Wasn’t too bad, i am not handy so it took me awhile but glad all is good now. Space was tight inside but I was able to disconnect and connect everything. You can see how much gunk there was inside the tubing and inside the pump impeller housing (?)

Ok, it was three screws.

I tend to be meticulous about keeping grain and hops away from the pump inlet.

Cleaned out my fridge & cleaned it as well.
Fermenter fits but not with the original speidel airlock as that thing is huge.
Now to think of a brew ...

I thought i did too as well. I have heard of people building a mesh screen thingy over the inlet. I think it was probably when I got some grains down the extension pipe within the malt pipe.

I don't have any flow raylte issues, but maybe I should check mine...

I put a stainless sink drain cover on top of my Grainfather over flow pipe. The fine mesh kind. Works well
