using chocolate malt/black malt in coffee,

hi so ,i have a kilo of choclate and black malt leftover.
was wondering if i could use it when making a cup of normal instant coffee?
if so,would i be creating a little mash in my cup and then straining it?
Yes,i do have too much time on my hands tonight....

You certainly could do that, just grind it and make normal filtered coffee out of it. Let us know how that comes out....
 
ok i just did it,made a cup of instant coffee,added a teaspoon of chocolate malt,let it stand for few mins.
definitely taste the malt,but very sweet.
next cup,no sugar
 
I've used roasted malts and chicory to make a low-caf hot coffee alternative. Works very well.
