Craigerrr's Travels

Going fishing for salmon in the morning, tied my first jig, and got a one day license and a salmon tag!

The Haisla tribe has been living in the North Coast region of British Columbia for over 9,000 years. They were some of the last natives to interact with famous explorers who navigated the Western coast of North America.

Very smokey today, the air is very still, apparently the smoke is making its way up the Douglas Channel.
Kitimat is the little black dot in the second image. The two fires to the south, and south west are listed as out of control, but pose no threat to us here.

Hell Yeah Craigerrr you've had a fantastic adventure.

Actually was watching a travel Doco on Canada recently and they went and visited a dude that carves these totems these days "keeping the spirit alive" also remember they visited a weed store and bought some medical grade THC to sort their "back pain" out.:)

Keep sending in the pic man they look great!

I didn't realize how far north Kitimat is, lattitude is 54 degrees north. By comparison James Bay is at a similar lattitude 53 degrees. James Bay at the bottom of Hudson Bay is way north. This would explain the long days here. Conversely in the summer the days are very short. It gets dark around 4, and daylight doesn't come until 8:45 or 9am.

Very cool Craig. I really like those camo waders, blends in with the background well. And yes, the stories and details are genuinely fascinating.

When I said
Conversely in the summer the days are very short.
I meant to say that the days are short in the winter...
