Quick Water Requirements
Water Gallons  Quarts
Heat water added to kettle (equipment estimates 7.05 g | 28.2 qt) 3.72 14.9
Mash volume with grains (equipment estimates 7.05 g | 28.2 qt) 4.2 16.8
Grain absorption losses (steeping) -0.75 -3
Mash Lauter Tun losses -0.25 -1

Pre boil volume (equipment estimates 6.83 g | 27.3 qt) 3.5 14
Boil off losses -1.5 -6
Hops absorption losses (first wort, boil, aroma) -0.08 -0.3
Post boil volume 5.25 21
Going into fermentor 5.25 21
WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

Late addition for candi sugar (approx 10 min left in boil). If using hard candi drop in slowly to allow for melting otherwise there will be a big chunk left in the bottom of the pot after cooling. The yeast will eat it either way during fermentation.
