    My Brewing:

I am new to home brewing. I started with a Mr Beer kit I got for Christmas. I made my first batch of Mexican Cerveza, and it turned out pretty good although it was only about 4%.
I started doing some research about home brewing and read a lot of articles and watched about 100 youtube videos.

My next batch I tried was a Belgian Wit. I started with a Mr Beer extract and added some steeping grains and a few additional hops. Added some corriander and orange peel. This one turned out very nice. A bit to much corriander as it is a bit spicier than I was looking for.

My third batch I decided to skip the Mr Beer extract all together and try using DME that I could get from my local supplier. At this point I still only had my 2.5 Gallon pot so I was fairly limited with what I could do. I wanted to try another shot at the Wit again but try to get the spices dialed down. The only yeast my supplier had at the time was Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan. After reading up on it I decided to make a very simple Hefeweizen. 2 LBS of Wheat DME, and 0.5oz Hallertau hops. I just bottled it yesterday. It had very strong banana flavors in it. I am interested to see how it finished after a couple weeks in the bottle.

So after all these small batches I decided I wanted to scale up a bit. I found a place online and I ordered all the equipment for kegging my beer. Then I went to the local shop and bought a new kettle. I got an 8 gallon with thermometer and ball valve.

I have decided that I am done with extract brewing and am going to try my hand at all grain. Maybe a BIAB for the first as I don't have a mash ton yet.
