Youngs Winter Warmer

    It's that time of year in the UK where, it starts to get that bit colder and ice and snow are forecast alongside biting wind and rain.

    Another way of assessing the imminent arrival of bad weather is the unfathomable departure of Young's Winter Warmer as Mardens brewery determine that the season is at a close.

    And the don't even make it in bottles.

    And my point?

    I can see that there a number of recipes available on Brewers Friend that bear the same or similar name, but has anyone been able to replicate this fine ale to any degree and if so, how close?

    And could they sell me some..:)

    Selling homebrew is not legal in most parts. Making friends with someone at the brewery will likely yield more satisfactory results than soliciting a random transaction on the internet. :cool:

    But I do want to try some of that "Winter Warmer". Odds of getting it in NorCal are slim I'm afraid.

    Thank god for Celebration :) I think I have the last case on earth in my fridge...
