We got our first letter from our son today. First words of the letter is that he’s doing ok!

Well I stopped posting, didn’t I? My wife found a couple of Facebook groups that are for people in my situation. Now those members can identify with me! I don’t know if they can make beer though. Hold on, I’ll check!!

I got to how I wanted to be feeling about a week after he left.

What’s funny about the Facebook groups is it seems that many of the parents can’t wait for boot camp to be over so they can get back to life as usual. Um, those kids have a job to do now. They’re not going home!! They are all grown up now!!
