I don't remember ever seeing JD in a 1 Litre bottle....always 26'ers, or 40 pounders? Guess I should drink more often.

That would have been a duty free purchase at Fort Erie on the Canadian side. Not sure why but most of the whiskey they sell is, or at least use to sell was mostly 1 liter bottles.

Generally you are allowed 1 or 2 ltr spirits tax free.
That doesnot work well with 750 ml bottles
Hence 1 litre bottles in duty free

It is always a sad day, hard to say goodbye to such a valued friend. I think my Cousin Tracey got this for me in October of 2020, she's a beauty!
