English Golden Ale

Homebrew cider. It is very dry and much higher abv than intended. Started at 1.047 and ended up around 6.5% abv. It's only 2 weeks young, so I suspect some time conditioning in the keg will greatly benefit the flavor. Or it'll still be a face puckerer and I'll backsweeten with some other fruit juice or honey or something :D maybe transfer onto some hops to use them up

It's a fun hobby :)

Trying get Saison out of a clogged dip tube. The holiday mug is because it was in the freezer thus lessening the foam bomb from having to carbonate from the liquid post. I'm going to teach this thing that I am more stubborn than it is.

Didn’t try any but these are on tap at the San Diego zoo. 18$/pint but i think they donate proceeds to the zoo

After the zoo we had lunch at a nice pub. They had a real ale (cask conditioned) which was a red ale and very tasty. Even as an Americanized brit I had a little trouble with the serving temperature. It was still enjoyable though i wonder if the same beer served in England would be cooler.

Tennants lager (haven’t had this in years)

Had a few Tennant’s in Scotland. I do like that brew.

With a name like that, it strongly suggests an overdose of Warrior hops. Warrior gets really grassy in large doses, but can also make a beer completely undrinkable because it is such a strong bittering hop. I use it primarily for bittering because it takes very little and doesn’t mess with the flavoring and aroma hops, which are typically much more expensive.

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw that can was that stupid song that permeated an entire season of Walking Dead. I really think that was some sort of social experiment to find out how many people would take a baseball bat to their tv. Annoying doesn’t begin to describe that song. Hope the beer didn’t have the same effect.

I don't remember which song you're talking about from Walking Dead.
The beer is just and easy drinking wheat beer. Not a fave but I do like it on occasion. My younger son really likes it though.
