What kind of hops.i used to do one with Amarillo hops. I should revisit that one
 
View attachment 31335well I had this beer today in a pub but didn't get a picture so I grabbed this screenshot from the website. I enjoyed it a lot because the smoke was so subtle. I've only made one beer using the beechwood smoked malt
One of my local breweries does one of these, its interesting!
 
First Maibock. I’m getting the hang of this lagering thing. My only criticism is that it has a lingering bitterness, which I don’t think it part of the style. I used magnum at 60 minutes for bittering because I didn’t have enough hallertau. Or, I’m just getting over a cold so my taste buds aren’t 100%

Magnum is appropriate for a maibock. How much did you use? I'll bitter my Maibock to 35 IBU and 7% ABV using Magnum
 
Well that looks good. How long did you lager. You need to let all the yeast drop or you can get what I call yeast bite. What yeast?
