Not a wheat beer in the banana/clove sense. This was an American Wheat and a pretty blank canvas. Still, it wasn’t the best choice for this style either.
The other time I used it was in a Porter as well, and frankly I felt it clashed big time with the dark malts.
However, I am willing to concede that there could be many reasons why I didn’t care for them that can’t be blamed on the hops themselves. Mainly that I completely butchered the timing and/or the quantity of the additions. Hops are a great mystery to me.
