What are you doing with homebrew today?

Finally got the wort to cool to 68f and is in the fermenter. OG came out to 1.077 Thanks to everyone for the help to get me this far with minor hassles. I’ll update on how this turns out.

Dropping new lines for the bines ;-)

I should've put down new plastic, the current lining is pretty well baked and coming apart in places. Honestly though, the grass just creeps over top of the plastic and grows anyway :-(

The hops like to climb 'jute' rope better than anything else I can find and it's good for about a season.
This season I have lost about 4 rhizomes. One of which is seemingly in a 'dead' spot, I'm betting I've lost half a dozen there, so this year if anything grows, it better be great or it's getting covered over. In 5 years, I've only had one rhizome live more than 1 season and it has never climbed more than 6'. It's literally 6 feet from the strongest bine I have that is already at 6' up at the Ides of March.

I transplanted 3 more last year, so in reality I'm only down 1. I did lose one of those, but I had an extra rhizome in a pot that I transplanted.
Fixed the drip irrigation, I had a connector piece the feeder line had popped off of. used the right one this time, heated and reseated so hopefully that holds.

It looks like I lost one Cashmere rhizome, or it's just turtling and if it's this late, it's probably a goner. It will be interesting to see if the early start for them helps get them established before the plant killing heat sets in.

The drip irrigation gets great results but unfortunately I haven't found an answer for creeping grass. The stuff is thick and fed a steady diet of sun and water, so now all of my rhizomes are embedded in grass roots. It doesn't seem to hurt the hops, but I'd really love to find a way to - no pun intended- root out the competition.
