I posted a bit here and there...
Got a Voss kveik brew on the go.
No temp control, but air temp between 31 and 39 oC.
Started fermenting within 3-4 hours.
I would like it to be fairly clear, but not too many options except for what nature throws me.
Been on yeast for almost 7 days. I am not hearing any burbs and haven't for 5-6 days now.
My idea is to siphon to my oxebar fernenter tomorrow and put on CO2, leaving plenty trub

Then adding my new batch of mashed grain to the trub within a couple hours.

I know that works, but is a week long enough to get a semi decent clear beer?

Main reason: my neighbour is getting me new malted barley and I need to slightly impress him so he keeps doing so
,

Throw some dissolved gelatin in there (look for Knox brand or generic equivalent) and hope for the best. Voss *is* known for being a bit hazy, but time and possibly gelatin can help clear it.

With Voss, it is plenty of time unless it was a really big beer. Alot of my voss beers are done in 3 or 4 days unless im dryhopping, souring, or huge.

I actually had voss stall out on a sour beer which is a first for me.

Not a big beer.
Just 4-5% abv
Got no gelatin, so I suppose it's going to be what it is going to be.....
Maybe I'll serve it in a stein, so you can't see if it is clear or not

If you don't have access to toys, and it tastes good, that is what matters.

Unless your neighbor is a beer judge, taste will be the deciding factor.

Voss without a dryhop should end up crystal clear in less then a week once its cold and carbed.

my hazy session ipa stays hazy for 2 months using voss. fucking hefe is crystal clear in 1 fucking week.

No dry hop....
Just needing to find the energy to transfer & carb.
Actually to mill grains & mash & boil my new batch so it can go straight on the trub (after cooling)
Cooling is going to be fun. We hit 48 oC yesterday on the verandah ( in the shade)
