Tilt data not linking to session

Hi,

This is my 1st time using a tilt to record fermentation logs to a brew session, i have setup my tilt to send data to BF from the URL provided under integration and i can see the correct tilt reading here. When i link the tilt to a brew session, the sessions just shows 'waiting on tilt to send data'... did i miss a setting? I've waited over an hour and i have removed & re-linked the tilt to the brew session.

I realized I hadn't activated my account, it seems the data from the tilt is now connected to the brew session!

Is account activation a requirements for this to work?

Glad you were able to figure it out, account activation is required for device integration and any membership features.

Hi, I am having a similar issue it seems. I have built a Tilt bridge; it is picking up the Hydrometer and brewersfriend is showing the tilt also. The tilt app is saying that the data is being sent but brewersfriend is not showing any data.

I'll get a developer to help out once we do a little troubleshooting. First, can you comfirm that you followed the exact steps in our documentation?

Hi Yooper, as far as I can tell I have followed the setup instructions, but I am sure I have likely messed up a setting somewhere.

Ok, see where it says 3rd party cloud logging?

Go here: https://docs.brewersfriend.com/devices/tilt and click the link here:

That will give you the integration information that you need to enter. When you click it, it pulls up your personal API so don't let others see it (mine is blacked out, but you can see the choices and how it looks). It has a list of some of the integrations. Choose Tilt, and copy that API link.

So the steps are:

Then, once it's done, go back into Brewer's Friend, and link the device.

That is right in "brew session" for that recipe. Here's my latest to show where it is:

I know I made that sound WAY more complicated that it is, but if you follow the directions step by step, you'll have it in just a couple of minutes. The confusion was definitely in that 3rd party logging section. To me that information was not clear in the instructions for using Tilt2 app on iPhone in conjunction with the tilt bridge. The steps that you have screenshot. to me. relate to the raspberry pi and linking the brewer's friend key to it, so it didn't translate to what I was looking at in the apple App. Either way it seems to be working now. At first I was getting the below error. But I simply deleted the linked device and then re-linked it and it has pushed the data into Brewer's Friend. Thanks for your help. Ben
