I’ve had a few beers with Terps. I don’t really like the taste to be honest. Can they be used in a good beer?

I bought some, my buddy and I are going to try it in a coors light since it’s a clean slate

In the past at Christmas time we use to get a 4 pack of 330ml bottles, four differnt Scottish Ales with no hops. I remember one in particular had Heather in it for instance

I have use Abstrax in IPA's before, Citra mostly. I just brewed one and added it to the dry hop charged, it seemed good. It can be really punchy at first, but within a week or so it blends in nicely. I made one for NHC final round and it scored a 46, but never medaled. The flavor and aroma was very "bright". I used it in conjunction with the dry hop. I have never used it without a hop charge. I heard if you use them without any "real" hops, it comes off as hollow or fake.

That beer looks like it has grapefruit terpenes. Abstrax is supposed to be all hop terpenes from the actual hop, so it may not be apples to apples.

What is it that you don't like about the beer?

It just seemed like an added flavor. Not bad, just seemed a little artificial. I was still able to crush the beers regardless,
