Television Series

I finally finished Shogun last night too. At first, I thought they were just going to recreate the mini series, but the last couple of episodes were very cool.

I'll have to check that out. I haven't seen the 1980 original with Richard Chamberlin since the 80's. It seemed like they ran that miniseries every other year back then.

Started watching House of Guiness on Netflix, same producers as Peaky Blinders. So far it is really good

Started watching black rabbit and couldn't get into it (3rd episode).... Still chipping away at DS9 (3ish more seasons to go and then Voyager).

B5 is much better than DS9 (I'm still bitter). The new season of Peacemaker has been a real trip and entertaining.

A couple episodes into Black Rabbit too, wife seems to like it, I'm not really into it. Not a fan of Jason Bateman, although I did love Ozark.

Finished a rewatch of Firefly for at least the 8th time :D it's so good. Now to watch Serenity and be sad that instead of another 3-4 seasons to wrap up the nuanced plot lines, they had to shoehorn it into a movie. Better than nothing I suppose
I did the same thing a month ago

Such a great series, so typical of sci-fi shows to get canceled too early. At least the fanbase was able influence the network to get Serenity filmed.

Thanks to moronic, short-sighted execs at Fox. FireFly was basically cancelled before it even aired it's first episode! Why on earth would you expect a series whose episodes were aired out of order, had it's time slot repeatedly moved around, and was mis-publicized as a sci-fi comedy, be successful?

Great Lakes Untamed
Incredible 3 episode documentary on the great lakes which hold 1/4 of the world's fresh water!
Here is a screen shot of the credits showing the producers info.

As I have been watching away DS9 (finally I am at season 6!) , I took a break and watched the House of Guinness on Netflix with my girlfriend. Really good show, looking forward to season 2. Interesting to see the Brewery in 1860's era though the show is loosely based on fact.
