I never figured out what "Woke" actually was LOL. The original definitely had some socialist concepts, but since we no longer abide by economic models piling debt upon debt ( and that is everybody, not just us), who knows if the man might actually be right or not someday. I still think Roger Waters will have it right in that we amuse ourselves to death
They did have the first interracial kiss on TV too.

Star Trek has always depicted a post-scarcity society where capitalism has faded away. While I think this should be aspirational I don't think it's accomplished because I think if we ever did actually have the means to eliminate scarcity that capitalistic forces would intervene to artificially maintain scarcity to preserve their wealth and status.

But yeah trek has taken on everything from race, jingoism, to gender, sexuality and beyond. Good sci-fi is all about using futuristic settings and stories to force you to question your assumptions about our present world
