I've done that a couple of times It was when I did MIAB, and a bit easier to sort out in the mash tun than in the kettle.

About 30 minutes in. Pre boil a bit higher than planned. (1.042 vs. 1.039) The plan was CTZ for bittering, but my inventory was off, so used Warrior instead.
