Total noob here :)
Just fermenting my first batch now, and I’d like to start another, but the more I learn, the more questions I have ;).
I have a standard brew kit, designed for the ol 5 gallon batch, but what if I wanted to make a smaller batch? Do beer recipes scale perfectly? If I wanted to reduce a 5 gallon recipe to, let’s say 2.5 gallons, would I just reduced all ingredients by half? Is it not as simple as that?
Thanks!

Use the "scale" tool in the Recipe Builder. It isn't perfect but it's pretty darned good. And you're mostly right - about the only thing that dosen't scale linearly is water. For that, you'll have to halve everything, then add back half of the boil-off rate (the amount of water boiled off remains the same).

That is true, welcome. Don't be scared to screw up as long as you learn from it.
