RO Water Users?

I just had an RO system installed at my home and plan to use it in my Home Brewing when I eventually start to brew at home again.
What I'm reading is telling me that when RO water is exposed to Oxygen, that the pH range can be as low as 5-5.5.
For those using RO water, what have you found to be the case? What pH are you using and what are the resulting pH measurements?
Without actually testing it with a meter at this point, I'd like to get a starting point.
Also, any other things I should be looking out for?
Cheers,
Brian
Oh, and it only took one sip of my morning coffee to decide I won't use it for that! Haha
My RO system consistently puts out water at about PH = 8. Been using for 2 years with no problems. I use Lactic acid or Acidulated malt to bring the PH down to recipe target.

I use RO water, partially because of the Chloromine in our municipal water, and partially because the ion profile isn't published. We already use it for our drinking water, and I use it for coffee as well. I like my coffee strong, didn't notice any flavor difference when I started using RO for coffee. Main reason for using RO for coffee is to keep the coffee make from liming up so much...

We have used the Walmart RO water machine for 10+ years. Coffee machines never scale up

I made my coffee day one with the RO water and it was significantly more acidic.
So now back to the regular well water for my coffee!

This is the system i just recently bought. $150.

I use an RO system like @Minbari .
But I have also added an additional storage tank downstairs in the "Brew Room" to hold an additional 5 gallons. Worth of storage, should have gone a bit larger.

Checked mine yesterday and was at 477 and 8.

did some research on a permeate pump and one is on the way. cuts the waste water down about 75% and boosts the tank pressure so it will hold more. also decreases recovery time when you drain the storage tank(s)

Nice, I haven't tested mine yet.
My system has 5 of the canister filters. It's supposed to be bulletproof , at least that's what the water guy sold me on!
Only one way to find out!

Oh. Not literally. Ok, I get that.

No, joking aside, a relative has one of those and with normal maintenance it has gone on for more than a decade now. Not 'cheap' but not expensive either.

Side note, we have been buying our RO water in 18 liter jugs for quite some time. The last of the boat anchors moved out recently, so we have arranged to have water delivered (too heavy for both of us).
We are getting a mixture of 18, and 10 liter jugs. The small ones are perfect for me to carry to the basement for brewing, and we take them to the trailer as well. Our water cooler is a bottom load with a pump, so we just slide the big ones across the floor.
