Problems with online brewing supplies

My local brew supplier finally went online with ordering, at least for the state of Florida. VetterBrew.com
That sucks. I guess one minor advantage is that you know the people who will be filling the orders. Did they just close their retail shop, but still have a local warehouse where they will be fulfilling orders? If so maybe you could pickup your orders from their warehouse and save the shipping cost.

FWIW, in Oct 2026, the Minneapols MN area has two stores with a physical presence. Beer Meister (recently moved into Plymouth from Hamel, near 55 and 494) and Minnesota Homebrew Supply (in Rogers near 101 & 94). Check their respective sites for address and hours.

Both have been active in the home brewing community. Over the last couple of years, both have been involved in local / regional home brew competitions, serving as a local bottle drop off location and/or a shipping location.

Living south of Minnapolis about 30 mi , Homebrew Supply has become my local supplier. But it is a drive. So it becomes a battle between the drive and mail order.

Sigh. My lhbs is reliable, but a recent order that was under $30 last year has gone up to $57 this year. 12 pounds of grain, an ounce of hops and a pack of us-04.

At that price, I suspect grain will be online from now on.
