Primary fermenter

Really Nola...! I just did the same order. Now I’m SS for the entire process. :)

The 7 Gallon Femonsters are a great, inexpensive solution.
They run $33 and have a wide mouth and are PET plastic, so no oxygen infiltration.
You just use a soft washcloth to clean them.
The lid seals are a bit of a pain, but easy enough to figure out.
They also melt at 160° so boiling water isn't an option.
All and all, they work great and can go between beer and wine because the don't pick up any aromas.

Wow first I was lusting after the Speidel now I'm thinking about the SS. I wonder if they have any tendency to get bent and not seal well any more. Kinda like those old fashion steel trash cans or one of those expensive kitchen pans that one of your kids overheated and it warped so the lid doesn't fit tight any more and makes your blood boil every time you use it. . :(

Brew Mentor - I’m using Fermonsters now. I have them with spigots. It’s nice too just tip it to get the dregs. It’s going to be a little more difficult with a SS fermenter.

Chico - I wonder about the lid also . I know I will drop it the first time I use it. There is a huge thread on them at HBT.
