Hi guys
I've been shopping around for a plate chiller for home brewing. But the huge range of products and price has gotten me a bit lost. As this can be a rather expensive gadget and I want to buy one which I am not going to have to replace soon, or ever.
Currently I am brewing batches of 24l, but soon want to enlarge this to around 40l. I only brew ales currently.
How big a plate chiller do I really need? And what is more important: amount of plates or length? I will not be able to cool down the water supply for my chiller currently as I have very limited space to work with. And as I live in South Africa, the tap water is not very cold in the summer.
Thanks
Wynand
