So quick question, anyone know what I should put in for grain absorption losses? I don't actually do a BIAB directly but I do a Brew Bag in my mash tun.
I don't know about liters and such, but I calculate .3 qts per lb and I have to lift the bag and squeeze it to hit the numbers just right. If I were to sparge only and not sqeeze, I'd have to figure on .5 qt/lb or so.
I do lift and squeeze. .3qts/lb would work out to .6L/KG which is roughly what I've been working with. I may bump it up a touch so I don't have to squeeze hard.
