Low oxygenation, high diacetil

Ask @HighVoltageMan! about that. I can tell you that as violent at 120 feels, 220 is far worse.
I have gotten bit by 240Vac, not fun at all. You learn really quickly to avoid it at all cost.

480Vac is super dangerous, it can produce a lot of plasma during a fault and engulf a person in 10,000F degree cloud, often killing them with horrific burns. Stay safe! Keep your hands in your pockets!

Indeed. That 3 mSec of 220 (or 221, whatever) imprinted on me both the value of a meter and the value of always verifying the meter is functional.

Anything over 220 AC is left for others, and now that I’m retired the 500+ vdc is also not my problem.

i was teaching the local refrigeration longshoremen basics of troubleshooting their gear. we had a "training" refer unit that was just an old unit without the container. it was 480 though. needless to say we spent a lot of time on the basics in the wiring lab working on 120 circuits. turning on motors and fans and such before we ever fired that thing up.

i ended up getting a cert from carrier...but what i really wanted was the HVAC cert so that i could buy my own gas.

It is the amps that do the damage
My brother got hit with 30,000 volts more than once in his 20's, it was at milli amps, or micro amps IIRC. It just kind of messed up his memory and cognition for a while.
Okay, fine, he is a bit of space cadet, but he was before that as well...
