I visited a brewery today!

Terry, this is a beautiful area with a number of very nice people. I'm glad I caught the weather the way it was as I could not handle winter. Summer in Florida can be miserable, but I can handle it. I hate being cold.
You did in fact get lucky with the weather. Snow is not unheard of in the late spring. I can remember getting snow while camping on the first day of summer a few years back. It all melted off, but it was cold and snowy on that trip.

I know that now. I did a little walking around on the trails earlier this week around 8200. That wasn't too bad. I was just a bit tired. I stayed above 9300 for a couple of hours, and that I noticed.
When I lived in SoCal (near sea level), I used to wake up early (3am), drive north to Mammoth, and on the same day ski from the top at 11,053 feet above sea level without ill effect. Those were good, wild days. Admittedly, the Summer days when I drove to the same area and hiked into the backcountry (sometimes to greater heights) with a heavy pack were a little more taxing, but never debilitating. I feel fortunate not to suffer altitude sickness.

I kept myself busy enough for a few days that I forgot to post. I had some downtime on Wednesday and started remembering after that. Enjoy the beer first, Josh lol

Charlotteville Brewing, my favorite spot near our trailer, I've shown picture of it a number of times in the past. This yesterday braving the unreasonably cool weather with my oldest friends. I have friends that are older than these knuckleheads, but have known these guys for what seems like forever!

Honey Hefe? That looks interesting as hell. I love dark Mexican beers too.
I had the dark Mexican lager, it was good. Didn’t try the honey here. One of the guys that went said it’s really good

Or it could be a waste of a good Hefe?

Dunno, maybe it’s just me, but I also don’t like fruit in my beer (I’m lookin at you, dos equis…)

I think you can get away with fruit in a wheat beer or a Saison. Unfortunately, almost all the places use the concentrate vs. the real thing these days. Honey should definitely work as long as it isn't too overpowering.

In my early 20's went camping in Myrtle Beach with a couple buddies. We bought a watermelon and a bottle of 180 proof booze. Cut a hole in the top of the watermelon, scooped some out, poured in some of the booze, and left it in a cooler with ice all afternoon. We got into eating a few slices in the evening. The next day my memories of the evening were spotty at best!

My wife and I made the drive to Hood River Oregon today. After checking into our accommodations, we took the nice walk to pFriem Family Brewers. She is sipping their Belgian Strong Blonde in the tulip, while I have a full pint of their West Coast IPA.

Did you (and your friends) get a lot smaller?

I presume that’s halfway between home and London?
Honey, we shrunk our friends!
Brewery is about a dozen minutes from our trailer, the blue dot is where the trailer park is, Cambridge is home
