We had a bad year for hops (and crops) in 2025- very early hot spell stunted everything. This year is much better; my Centennials are happy and doing great along the front of our deck:
Tomato-tomatoes?I wish my tomatoes were doing that well. Those look great.
Tomato tomatoes.Tomato-tomatoes?
Or @Craigerrr type of tomatoes?
Let's just call it a Canadian TomatoTomato-tomatoes?
Or @Craigerrr type of tomatoes?
Eggplant Parmesan. MMMMTomato tomatoes.
The plants have plenty of water and sunshine, I find no insects, and they continue to flower…just no fruits, and the plants are browning and wilting a bit. Could be too hot for them. Some varieties cannot handle the 90s (40s C) well.
Plus, here in the US, there is currently a scare for a disease, so far they think it’s linked to lettuce from Mexico, but they’re not sure, so lots of people are avoiding all fresh fruits and vegetables until they get a better handle on it. Thousands have gotten sick and a couple of even died. It’s not that prevalent here in Georgia, but having my own vegetables kind of takes the scare out of it.
Plenty of jalapeños, though, and the eggplant seems pretty happy
