Problem is you can't really do much more than double the size of a yeast colony in one step. It's better to do steps than one big starter if you're trying to propagate yeast.Ok so i was reading thru this thread as I am noticing the cost of yeast.
And i am thinking it would be easier to do a large starter and split it to 2-3 mason jars.
My question is how big a starter should I do? I have a 2 liter flask but could come up with something bigger if necessary
